the senses of KEY WEST

SOUND:
The banter of college kids roaming Duval St with cocktails in hand rather than the "Arrrrrr" of pirates that once raped and pillaged these parts
SMELL:
Damp ground and humidly salty air after a storm that lights the air and rattles your bones
SIGHT:
The Atlantic to the left, Gulf to the right, and the sun setting behind a Toy Story clouded lightning storm up ahead. The only place on the east coast you can watch the sun set over the water.
TASTE:
Cuban garlic shrimp whose flavor lingers over into tomorrows continental motel breakfast.Hoping for a Hemingway-esk inspiration while sipping rrefreshing mojitos and sicky sweat Rum Runners at his local watering hole (Sloppy Joe's)
TOUCH: Sweat, sweat, and more sticky sweat. I learned that the keen sweating skill, both my aunt and i posses, is an inherited trait from my grandfather culler but even the most southern bell lady would perspire in the molasses thick air in these parts.
The most tangy whipped (almost cheese cake-like in texture) key lime pie I've ever tasted.

 the end of the US

mojitos and people watching, the perfect way to take a break from the heat

one of the 40 Hemingway 6 toed cats

Hemingway's custom built bed: 2 twin beds welded together to support his 200 lb 6'5'' stature and a head board that use to serve the purpose of being the entrance gate to a monastery in spain.
